Ellettsville Club Unit Director

Seeking a full-time youth development leader to manage after-school youth program. Individual must have skills in staff development, program implementation, and at least 3 years as a professional staff in youth services.


Working Hours:  Monday through Friday (10:00am to 6:00pm or 11:00-7:00, weekends and additional hours as necessary)

Vacation/sick days/holidays:  “Personal Time Off” details outlined in Employee Manual

Basic Job Function

  • Directs/manages overall daily operations of the designated Club with the primary concern for programs and service delivery, supervision and training of staff, community relations and membership administration.
  • Reports to Director of Operations.

Education/Experience Requirements

-Four year degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.

-A minimum of two years work experience in a Boys and Girls Club or similar youth organization planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people, or equivalent experience.

Skills/Knowledge Requirements

-Leadership, budget management, community relations, and organizational compliance

-Demonstrated ability in personnel supervision, facilities management, and the recruitment and retention of key personnel.

-Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

-Ability to recruit, train, supervise, and motivate staff.

-Ability to deal effectively with members including discipline problems.

-Working knowledge of budget preparation, control, and management.

-Demonstrated ability in working with diverse young people, parents and community leaders.
